Why did I start this blog?

Why did a tax attorney whose only real qualification is a deep passion for Bitcoin start this blog?

I started this blog because I found myself incessantly posting on both Facebook and Twitter. I found that many folks who were new to Bitcoin and even some who have been in the space for awhile seemed to find, at least, some of my posts valuable.

As I kept posting on Facebook, I had a friend named David who challenged me to start a blog. He could see that at least some people were finding it to be useful and rightly pointed out that Facebook was getting a lot of benefit from my posts.

And to be even more honest, I realized that having an outlet to post my thoughts on Bitcoin as they arose might make me a slightly more pleasant person to hang out with. If I have an outlet for my thoughts, maybe I wouldn’t inundate my friends and family on all things Bitcoin when we get to enjoy ourselves in person. Instead they, and anyone else, can read up on my thoughts at their leisure.

Bitcoin is a giant rabbit hole and the deeper I think about it the clearer my thinking on Bitcoin and the consequences of Bitcoin gets but it always opens up plenty of more questions to be answered. Hopefully my explorations of those questions will be of some use to people other than just me.

But even if it’s just me, I’ll have this cool (b)log of my journey.

So welcome. I hope you find it at least somewhat valuable.
